Ischia, the green island

Ischia, is an island in the Tyrrhenian sea, situated southwest of the Head Miseno in front of the Gulf in Naples is the greatest of the patenopean's islands with her 47 kmqs and her perimeter of 18 miles. Currently Ischia introduces herself as a great long volcanic mountainous mass around 8Km and wide 6, from which emerge: the Epomeo mountain, the tallest mountain of the island constituted by tufaceans rocks and the mountain Vezzi of Campagnano, constituted by rocks maded by magma. Around the Epomeo, to North and to West, there is a predominantly level coastal band, while to East a series of hills is risen.
