The first edition of the festival is held in 2003 near the island of Ischia with the name of Foreing Film Festival. The demonstration was born with the intent to confer an artistic recognition to the works, to the directors, to the managers of the photo and the scenografis that have valorized "location" Italian or foreigners to induce in the spectator the desire to know of it and to visit its beauties.

The festival, that develops him in June, annually organizes the National Conference on the cineturismo. The cinema review is composed of three competitive sections devoted to the llong films, to the short films and the documentaries and a section out contest denominated Sceneries.

The festival does it departs some AFIC, the association Italian Festival of Cinema, which other analogous national demonstrations of notable importance belong for the promotion of the Italian cinema.
